1440 Multiversity

1440 Represents the Number of Minutes in a Single Day
The creation of 1440 Multiversity stemmed from a desire by Joanie and Scott Kriens to establish a beautiful and nurturing destination where people and organizations could gather in community to explore, learn, reflect, connect and reenergize. Since opening in May 2017, the unique nonprofit has established itself as a premier learning destination in the world, having welcomed over 100,000 visitors from more than 54 countries.

Music Camp International

Transforming Children, Communities and Countries Through the Power of Music

Music Camp International was founded in 2002 by internationally acclaimed children’s music specialist, Connie Fortunato. MCI reaches the disenfranchised children of Romania and Ukraine through an intense Sunday through Friday day camp program in which choral singing and instrumental instruction occurs. After five full days of rehearsals, classes, and instrumental training, all camp participants present a full concert for parents, friends, and civic authorities. In response to the pandemic, we began virtual camps with choir performances. Young people from around the world have been participating! Out of this, a new program has emerged called “Musedics” which is a music program with three options: 1) We work with teachers in – school by having our Master Teachers working virtually to a classroom of students and their regular teacher; 2) Our Master Teachers work virtually in after-school programs in “micro music hubs” with up to eight students and an advisor; and 3) Our Master Teachers work virtually with Individual young people learning in the privacy of their home. Santa Cruz County Fairgrounds Foundation

The Santa Cruz County Fairgrounds Foundation, a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) charitable organization, was founded in 2002 by a group of Fair Supporters who realized that the Fairgrounds would soon be self-funded and wanted to preserve the Fairgrounds and the activities that take place on the premises.  Originally named The Santa Cruz County Fair Heritage Foundation, we changed our name to the Santa Cruz County Fairgrounds Foundation in January 2016. The Foundation raises funds through donations, special events, beverage sales, grants, planned giving and sponsorships. Through its community connections, it has assumed a major role in keeping the community aware of activities and improvements at the Fairgrounds.

The Foundation supports the Santa Cruz County Fairgrounds, one of the treasures of the Central Coast – providing a unique venue for recreation, education, science, sports and charitable activities that enrich our community. It is utilized by companies, individuals, schools and community groups year-round. The Fairgrounds also plays an important role as an evacuation center for people and animals in the tri-county area in the event of a disaster, such as fire, earthquake and flooding.
