The ABRITE Organization designed the Brite Horizons School to address growing needs voiced by Special Education Local Planning Area (SELPA) teams, families, and also recognized within our own school-based consultation and support. ABRITE has worked with our local regional centers and school districts for over 13 years and has supported learners from ages 12 months-22 years in a variety of formats. ABRITE has developed and sustained classrooms and support programs to assist students ranging from tiered supports for general education students to individual and intensive support services for special education students. Most notably, ABRITE developed a collaborative and comprehensive program with Scotts Valley Unified School District (SVUSD) that served students for over 7 years using solely research-based strategies. ABRITE also works with all major insurance providers throughout Santa Cruz, Santa Clara, Los Angeles, Ventura and Orange Counties while our heart belongs with our roots and office hub in Santa Cruz County.
The Building Kidz curriculum was created to enhance whole child development and academic excellence. We intelligently integrate music, dance and theater in an age-appropriate environment, shaping a child’s character, self-confidence, and social emotional understanding from an early age.

The UC Santa Cruz Scotts Valley Center serves as the professional offices for about 350 staff from three divisions: Business and Administrative Services, Information Technology Services, and University Relations. The people who make up the University Relations division elevate the reputation of UC Santa Cruz and build enduring relationships with alumni and campus friends. This work is essential for developing critically needed private gifts along with other forms of support benefiting students and research.
Wendy began dance lessons at 4 years old at a private studio in San Jose. Throughout her childhood and teenage years, her dance education had a strong emphasis on ballet, jazz, modern, lyrical and tap technique, as well as dance history and dance appreciation. In addition to being a member of her high school’s Performing Arts Academy, she was a dance company member and became an apprentice to the Jose Limon West dance project at age 15. At 18, she started teaching classes at her childhood studio and soon after, taught a variety of classes at several studios in the Bay Area.
Wendy has instructed and choreographed routines for parades, showcases, Disneyland’s Holiday Spectacular, Carnival Cruise Lines Stars at Sea program and award-winning jazz, ballet, tap, character and lyrical routines for regional and national competitions.
Most recently, Wendy was a 2012-2014 member of the San Jose SaberKittens for the San Jose SaberCats Arena Football League team. Her most memorable highlights with the team are performing in front of thousands of fans, starring in a commercial on CSN Bay Area in the 2013 season and being a NET10 Wireless Dream Team Arena Bowl nominee for the 2014 season.
