|Dear Business Owners, |
We know how important the Scotts Valley 4th of July holiday is to our community and in Santa Cruz County. This annual event has been recognized as one of the best professional fireworks display and family fun event all over the SF bay area. Our local business owners have for years depended on the tourist and local community dollars that boost the bottom-line revenue over the Independence Day weekend.
As you have heard the show has been cancelled due to Covid-19, but the celebration must continue and the Chamber’s Recovery Task Force Committee wants to help you advertise your business.
We are creating a marketing video to showcase ALL businesses and their offerings. What holiday sales, specials, menus, services, products, or promotions is your business having?
This is your opportunity to take advantage of FREE advertising for your business! This advertising video will be the first in a series of promotional videos. Additional videos will be created throughout the summer and into the fall – so if you cannot participate in this one there will be other opportunities in the future.
Click this link to see an example of a video I put together recently featuring videos created by some of our Scotts Valley businesses that was a big social media success. Leveraging on the same creative theme of passing the sanitizer bottle in the above video will have businesses pass a decorated firecracker in this new video!
Here is how you can participate: Sign up here to be included in the video today! A representative from the committee will contact you shortly to set up a delivery time to bring a firecracker and a flag to your place of business.
Directions to Create your Video Clip:
1. The video format should be widescreen (horizontal) it’s easy use your cell phone!
2. The length of the video should be 15 – 30 seconds long Create a sign(s) or any other way to visually announce your holiday sales, specials, menus, services, products, promotions your business is having.
3. When filming your video, at the beginning catch the firecracker by having it tossed into the frame from the right side. Film your fun message regarding your specials or services and at the end toss the firecracker out of the frame to the left side.
Because the amount of firecrackers are limited (as is the time to create the final product), you will have two days to create your video and then we will need to send it to the next business on our list.
Deadline for all video submissions is Wednesday, July 24 at 5pm. Send your video to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Let’s celebrate Scotts Valley businesses, the 4th of July Holiday and the Independence from COVID-19 to re-open our business community!
