DESCRIPTION:5th Annual MOVE for CASA!\nWe are so excited for Santa Cruz County’s fifth annual MOVE For CASA to take place on Saturday\, May 3! We are even more excited to announce that we are once again partnering with CASA of Monterey County this year! \nWe invite all members of our community to join CASA Advocates\, The Friends of CASA\, Staff\, Board\, and Supporters of both Monterey and Santa Cruz counties at Elkhorn Slough Reserve at 1700 Elkhorn Road in Watsonville. This is an all-ages family-friendly event. However\, dogs are not allowed at the slough\, sorry. \nRegister today – join a team or form one of your own! \nIf you’re joining us at the Slough\, we’ll have coffee and refreshments available from 10am and will kick the event off at 10:15am. We plan on doing a 3 mile loop but there are shorter and longer distances available as well as a wheelchair accessible trail. \nAll proceeds from this event support CASA of Monterey and Santa Cruz County’s missions to match every youth experiencing foster care or juvenile probation with a trained volunteer Advocate. Because of your support\, the most vulnerable children and youth in our community are receiving more services\, performing better both academically and behaviorally in school\, and are simply experiencing a stronger sense of hope. \nThank you for Moving for CASA to help make positive change for children and youth in our community and giving them an opportunity to thrive. \nPlease send any photos or videos on why you MOVE for CASA to casaevents@casaofsantacruz.org or let us know if you have any questions.

Join us May 3rd & 4th at the Mariposa County Fairgrounds for a weekend of fun\, education\, and entertainment for all ages. Experience the spectacular live butterfly release\, explore Jurassic Mariposa with animatronic dinosaurs\, enjoy two days of live music\, a petting zoo\, train rides\, stilt walkers\, jugglers\, and silk aerialists! Visit Fairy Village for storytime with Miranda the Forest Fairy\, take part in the Sunday obstacle course\, and learn about butterflies and pollinators in Habitat Row\, featuring a 40-foot caterpillar exhibit. Don’t miss the Mariposa Butterfly Festival Car Show on Saturday!
