Oh My!” will showcase Judy’s artistry as she sings songs by George Gershwin and “Over the Rainbow” by Harold Arlen\, and the Band will perform a wide variety of marches\, Broadway show tunes\, and band classics. Judy Norton\, launched to international fame when she starred as Mary Ellen for 9 years in the Emmy Award winning series “The Waltons.” Since then\, she has gone on to numerous television guest-starring roles in film and television while also working in stage productions in the US and Canada.

This is an all-ages family-friendly event. However\, dogs are not allowed at the slough\, sorry. \nRegister today – join a team or form one of your own! \nIf you’re joining us at the Slough\, we’ll have coffee and refreshments available from 10am and will kick the event off at 10:15am. We plan on doing a 3 mile loop but there are shorter and longer distances available as well as a wheelchair accessible trail. \nAll proceeds from this event support CASA of Monterey and Santa Cruz County’s missions to match every youth experiencing foster care or juvenile probation with a trained volunteer Advocate. Nadeau Memorial Fund\, aimed at promoting and rewarding excellence in jazz performance\, brings the Kuumbwa Jazz Honor Band to The Landing for a free concert.\nThe Kuumbwa Jazz Honor Band showcases some of the most talented student musicians from Santa Cruz County and the Central Coast region who come together to study advanced jazz theory\, arranging\, and improvisation\, all while learning valuable life skills in teamwork and critical thinking.\nThe Honor Band\, directed by David McGillicuddy\, a graduate of Aptos High\, Cabrillo College\, and UCSC\, has been teaching music since 1997 and his jazz guitar YouTube lessons have garnered nearly a quarter-million views. A longtime member of the Kuumbwa community\, he attended his first Kuumbwa show in 1985 and has been volunteering since 1988.
