We are even more excited to announce that we are once again partnering with CASA of Monterey County this year! \nWe invite all members of our community to join CASA Advocates\, The Friends of CASA\, Staff\, Board\, and Supporters of both Monterey and Santa Cruz counties at Elkhorn Slough Reserve at 1700 Elkhorn Road in Watsonville. This is an all-ages family-friendly event. However\, dogs are not allowed at the slough\, sorry. \nRegister today – join a team or form one of your own! \nIf you’re joining us at the Slough\, we’ll have coffee and refreshments available from 10am and will kick the event off at 10:15am. We plan on doing a 3 mile loop but there are shorter and longer distances available as well as a wheelchair accessible trail. \nAll proceeds from this event support CASA of Monterey and Santa Cruz County’s missions to match every youth experiencing foster care or juvenile probation with a trained volunteer Advocate. Judy Norton\, launched to international fame when she starred as Mary Ellen for 9 years in the Emmy Award winning series “The Waltons.” Since then\, she has gone on to numerous television guest-starring roles in film and television while also working in stage productions in the US and Canada.
