SUMMARY:Empty Nest and All the Rest - A Comedy
DESCRIPTION:Empty Nest and All the Rest\nDon’t Miss Out! Opening Night was a Sold-Out Smash Hit!\nSome wise person once said about having children\, “The days are very long; but the years are very short. One moment you’re changing diapers and the next they are headed out the door…with your car.”\n“Empty Nest and All the Rest” is a deft and hilarious one-man comedy show about the frenzy of family life\, the way men and women think\, and what fills the void when the kids leave and don’t come back. Actually\, the kids fill the void because they do come back and take your food and your car. And then they don’t tell you when or if they’re going to leave for good. Wait\, what was the question?\nIf you’re a parent with grown children\, this show will have you rolling in the aisles with memories of kids who know nothing and teens who know it all. If you have small children or teens\, then this is your peek into the future. Either way this is the escape\, the nostalgia\, the night you’ll be talking about for months.\nAbout Clay Hausmann\nClay has performed his unique brand of comedy\, insight and storytelling to business audiences of as many as 1000. He has appeared on KGO-TV\, ABC Radio\, and in Fast Company. He is the author of four screenplays and was a finalist for the Sundance Screenwriters Lab in 2011. And he is now officially an empty nester.\nBUY TICKETS

We plan on doing a 3 mile loop but there are shorter and longer distances available as well as a wheelchair accessible trail. \nAll proceeds from this event support CASA of Monterey and Santa Cruz County’s missions to match every youth experiencing foster care or juvenile probation with a trained volunteer Advocate. Because of your support\, the most vulnerable children and youth in our community are receiving more services\, performing better both academically and behaviorally in school\, and are simply experiencing a stronger sense of hope. \nThank you for Moving for CASA to help make positive change for children and youth in our community and giving them an opportunity to thrive. \nPlease send any photos or videos on why you MOVE for CASA to casaevents@casaofsantacruz.org or let us know if you have any questions.
