She is determined to find the parents who abandoned her years ago on the doorstep of a New York City Orphanage that is run by the cruel\, embittered Miss Hannigan. With the help of the other girls in the Orphanage\, she embarks on a series of adventures with her friend Sandy the dog\, trying to escape Hannigan\, meeting the millionaire Oliver Warbucks and even President Roosevelt!

We are even more excited to announce that we are once again partnering with CASA of Monterey County this year! \nWe invite all members of our community to join CASA Advocates\, The Friends of CASA\, Staff\, Board\, and Supporters of both Monterey and Santa Cruz counties at Elkhorn Slough Reserve at 1700 Elkhorn Road in Watsonville. This is an all-ages family-friendly event. However\, dogs are not allowed at the slough\, sorry. \nRegister today – join a team or form one of your own! \nIf you’re joining us at the Slough\, we’ll have coffee and refreshments available from 10am and will kick the event off at 10:15am. We plan on doing a 3 mile loop but there are shorter and longer distances available as well as a wheelchair accessible trail. \nAll proceeds from this event support CASA of Monterey and Santa Cruz County’s missions to match every youth experiencing foster care or juvenile probation with a trained volunteer Advocate.
