MOUNTAIN VIEW, CA (February 25, 2024) – Schola Cantorum Silicon Valley presents Celtic Celebrations, an early start to your St. Patrick’s Day festivities. The concert features music from and inspired by the Emerald Isle. A family-friendly concert, it’ll be an afternoon filled with heart-melting melodies and sing-alongs, scheduled for Saturday, March 16, 2024 at 3:00 pm at the Campbell United Methodist Church, located at 1675 South Winchester Boulevard, Campbell.
Special guests will join in repertoire spanning the breadth of Irish sentiments, including old favorites and soon-to-be classics. Familiar highlights include I’ll Tell My Ma, Carrickfergus, The Kerry Dance, Molly Malone, and O Danny Boy. Recent compositions on Irish themes include Dúlamán, The Lake Isle of Innisfree and Celtic Blessing. Audience sing-alongs include pub favorites like My Wild Irish Rose, The Fields of Athenry, and When Irish Eyes Are Smiling.
“Toes will be tapping,” said David Jones, Board Chair at Schola Cantorum. “The urge to dance may be irresistible. On the other hand, don’t forget to bring your hankie – there won’t be a dry eye in the house.”
The concert is generously sponsored by Beverly Hansberry and Scott McKim.
General admission is $30 for adults, free for children and for students under 25 with a valid student ID. To purchase tickets, go to https://scholacantorum.org/
